We’ve welcomed Olympic gymnast Danny Purvis to school today!

We’ve all had a brilliant time, starting with an inspirational assembly where we discovered Danny’s journey to becoming an elite athlete! We’ve learned about the hard work and the sacrifices that need to be made along the way – but most of all, we learned that the journey should always be fun and enjoyable.

We were very impressed when we saw Danny in action and were in awe of his gymnastic abilities!

We were very excited to see Danny’s Bronze Olympic Medal – and our teachers were very surprised at just how heavy it was!

Afterwards, we had the opportunity to take part in a circuit with Danny! You can see from our photo gallery below that we all had a wonderful time showing off our skills!

We practiced spotty dogs, leg drives, press-ups and star jumps demonstrating our resilience and perseverance values! Ask us at home to show you our challenges at home!

We’ve all had a brilliant day, and we can’t wait to show you how inspired we all are at our sports day!
