Yesterday, the brilliant team at Penketh Fire Station came to visit our year 5 students to deliver their Escape to Safety programme, which has taught us a huge amount about fire safety in the home!

After a very informative presentation, the children were able to explore the fire engine and all of its components – as you can see from the photographs below, we had a brilliant time learning all about it!

We also got to experience a smoke tent, and the realities of ‘fire’. This has made us all reflect and think carefully about what we do in and around our home and in school.
