We are so proud of all the children in Year 2 who have been to Tattenhall this week. They have shown great maturity and have challenged themselves to try new things and welcomed the new adventures they have had.The trip to Tattenhall, fulfils an area of the geography curriculum, whereby children are encouraged to explore an area which is different, geographically, to their home area. We believe that it gives the children so much more – skills such as independence, teamworking, problem-solving, and risk management. Even more importantly in our view, children learn to build and nurture friendships and we hope they have made many happy memories to take forward on their school journey.

Children have taken part in a range of activities across the two-days including bushcraft, pond-dipping, orienteering and clay modelling.

They have toasted marshmallows, sipped hot chocolate around the fire and enjoyed singing the songs that Mr Oates has taught them in school.

For many of our children this has been the first time the have stayed away from home and we have been so impressed by each and every one of them, and the brilliant attitude that they have all shown!

We hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and come back afterwards ready to shine like the superstars you are!
