Celebrating Neurodiversity Week at School

This week, our school came together to celebrate Neurodiversity Week—a special opportunity to recognise and value the wonderful ways our brains work differently.
Throughout the week, pupils explored the idea of what makes each of us uniquely ourselves. Classes talked about the characteristics that shape who we are and how these features make us different in positive and meaningful ways. We discussed how being fair doesn’t always mean giving everyone the same thing; instead, real fairness means giving each person what they need to thrive.
Pupils also examined a series of pictures designed to spark different interpretations. These activities encouraged everyone to notice how our brains understand the world in diverse ways, and how these differences help us learn from one another.
To finish the week, we gathered together for our whole school assembly. The hall was filled with energy as everyone sang our new song, “Power In Me”, celebrating confidence, resilience, and the strength we each carry inside.
Neurodiversity Week has helped us grow in empathy, understanding, and appreciation for one another. We are proud of the inclusive community we continue to build every day.
