Over the two weeks after Easter, we were learning about how we can be SHINE in our learning . At the end of the two weeks, the teachers chose one child who had demonstrated that they had fully understood what this skill means. This award was given to the children, today, by our Chair of Governors, Jen Tinsley. So, this time, the award for shining in learning goes to....

Class 1 Luis -  He has been a shining star since starting this year. He has grown in confidence and his English is coming along really well. We are seeing him tell jokes and make others laugh including the staff.

He always puts 110% into every single thing he does, and his attitude to learning is exemplary. He shows fantastic self-regulation skills which makes sure he can tackle every learning opportunity in the best way possible way. He also goes over and above with his learning, extending it by practising and researching at home what we are learning in class to deepen his understanding, which means he brings some fantastic facts into school to share. I am so proud of you, Ollie! You are amazing.
