Over the last two weeks, we have been learning about how we can be OPEN-MINDED in our learning . At the end of the two weeks, the teachers chose one child who had demonstrated that they had fully understood what this skill means. This award was given to the children, today, by our Governor, Jackie Wilson.
So, this time, the award for being open-minded goes to....
Class 1 Theo - Theo has listened to others in the blocks area. He worked with others to create some amazing animals out of blocks. Well done Theo.
Class 2/3 Manthan - For always being open-minded about his work and trying his best.
Class 4 Bella - For always listening to other people's ideas during English.
Class 5 Kiara - Kiara always listens carefully to others when working in a group. She considers their ideas and can adapt and change her own thoughts based on what others have said.
Class 6 Seren - For always listening to what others say, taking what they say on board and then adapting her own ideas.
Class 7 Aiyla - Aiyla is extremely open-minded, considering different view points within her own answers during learning and always thinking of others. On many occasions she has been the voice of reason, explaining how actions can impact on people's emotions.
Class 8 Aria - For being open minded in her writing. She listened carefully to feedback and edited her work to make it even better. A huge well done Aria!
Class 9 Darcey - For always seeing other people's perspectives and taking into account their opinions can be different.
Class 10 Amelia P- For being receptive to change and embracing new ideas. Amelia is always respectful of other people's ideas and opinions.
Class 11 Leo - For being open-minded as we investigated what can and can't be flushed down the toilet in science and also showing this value when discussing how we can change people's opinions on the environment.
Class 12 Bobby - Bobby is a very open-minded child who adapts his ideas and views when needed. He is accepting of other people's arguments and takes their views on board.
Class 13 Bella- In maths, Bella can change her ideas if there is evidence to do so. She is getting adept at this.
Class 14 Leighton - He takes on board ideas shared during the class discussion and is open to any feedback given, using it to improve his work.
